Lunch and Learn Sessions

Thursday, May 16th, 11:30-1:00

Lunch and learn sessions will begin at 12:00pm to allow attendees to purchase/ bring their own food for this brown bag session.

Museum Archives Forum
Arizona History Museum Board Room (across the street from hotel at 949 E. 2nd St.)
Here in Arizona we have begun work on a discussion forum that would include museum curators and collections staff who work with archival materials, but may not have professional archival training, together with our archivist colleagues. Since the heart of both professions is providing preservation and access for future generations, we think it makes sense to have a shared forum. Please join us for a lunch-time discussion about how such a forum could be structured, both state-wide and nationally, to strengthen existing ties between archives and museums, share collections information, coordinate ways to increase public interest in historical programs and interpretation, and collaborate on advocacy efforts.

TARO Brown Bag
Please join members of the Texas Archival Resources Online (TARO) Steering Committee to learn about the work the group has done this past year. The agenda includes an overview of ongoing work, subcommittee work report(s), communication among TARO members, and an opportunity to share feedback. This brown bag meeting is open to all TARO members and anyone interested in becoming a TARO member.
